Our School

We are closing out 2018 and transitioning to the new year.  The teachers and I often talk about how the students begin to show so much growth when they return after the winter break.  Second graders now understand the routines at Millington School and the learning expectations in the classroom.  It is a joy to see them focus on their role as learners in a second-grade classroom. Our third-grade students will demonstrate what it means to be an independent learner with very little prompting by the teacher. In fourth grade, we will see students using higher-order skills.  They make the connections and can begin to apply their knowledge across all subjects.  The fifth-grade students can be seen collaborating with peers and teachers.  There are opportunities for project-based learning across all content areas.  Students are able to apply their knowledge in a variety of creative ways.  As we move into 2019, we will see our students continue to build the foundation for learning, develop their passion for learning, and lead the way as lifelong learners.
